The World’s First and Only Technology to Drastically Reduce Antimicrobial Leakage into the Oceanthe Ocean
– Patented Technology “Black Medicine” –
A major challenge with conventional medication methods was that the majority of antimicrobials attached to feed would detach in seawater and wash away into the ocean.
Not only does this significantly reduce the effectiveness of the medication, but it is also a major cause of AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance)—a global threat—and marine environmental pollution.
To solve this issue, our company developed the innovative patented technology “Black Medicine Technology,” becoming the first in the world to successfully curb the leakage of antimicrobials into the ocean.
Reduction of the release into the ocean to one-fifth (80% reduction)
The amount of medication released was measured after placing the medication-coated feed into seawater and agitating it.
As a result, it was demonstrated that our patented technology drastically reduces the release of the medication into the sea to less than one-fifth(80% reduction) , compared to conventional coating methods.

Economic Benefits Brought by “Black Medicine”:
By reducing the leakage of antimicrobials into the ocean, the following two economic benefits are expected:
- Reliable Medication Efficacy: By ensuring that the antimicrobials reach the fish’s body more reliably than before, fish disease damage is minimized, contributing to a reduction in medication dosage and, consequently, a reduction in treatment costs.
- High Added Value: It reverses the conventional image of ‘excessive medication use,’ contributing to the first step toward the transition to ‘clean aquaculture.
